Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso

Ouagadougou ist die größte Stadt in Burkina Faso. Im Zentrum des Landes gelegen, ist die Stadt nicht nur die Hauptstadt, sondern auch das Zentrum für nahezu alles in Burkina Faso. Die Stadt hat breite, von Bäumen gesäumte Boulevards und mehrere interessante Sehenswürdigkeiten. Das Nationalmuseum befindet sich in einem eingezäunten Bereich mit Gebäuden im afrikanischen Stil. Das Museum zeigt eine interessante Ausstellung von Ahnenstatuen und traditionellen Kostümen der wichtigsten ethnischen Gruppen Burkina Fasos. Weitere interessante Orte, die man besuchen sollte, sind der Nouveau Grand Marché, das Nationale Musikmuseum, das Musée de Manega, der Jardin de l'amitié Ouaga-Loudun und der Moro Naba Palast. Ouagadougou ist eine recht moderne Stadt mit Hotels, Restaurants, Bars, kleinen Märkten, Moscheen und Kirchen. Die Atmosphäre ist entspannt und ihre Einwohner sind bekannt dafür, sehr gastfreundlich und freundlich zu sein. Die Stadt hat eine lebhafte Nachtclub- und Live-Musik-Szene.
