Early departure from Madrid to Castilla. We´ll begin with a brief stop at The Four Posts, a famous viewpoint offering magnificent views of the walls of Ávila. Near the border with Portugal, we´ll visit Ciudad Rodrigo to explore its cathedral, ancient walls, and medieval streets. Continuing our journey towards Portugal, we´ll arrive in Porto for a sightseeing tour of this city, the second-largest urban area in Portugal renowned for its wines. After the city tour, we´ll visit a century-old winery. You´ll also have free time to explore at your leisure.Note: If the number of passengers between Madrid and Porto is very small, this segment may be conducted by plane, in which case the stop in Ciudad Rodrigo will be canceled.
We’ll head south, starting with a visit to Coimbra, the third-largest city in Portugal, known for its historic university and charming steep streets. Next, we’ll stop at the Batalha Monastery, an impressive medieval building where kings are buried. Afterward, we’ll have time for lunch and a stroll in Nazaré, a fishing town and seaside resort. Here, we’ll take the “elevator” up to the old city for stunning ocean views. On our way to Lisbon, we’ll stop in Óbidos, one of the most beautiful towns in Portugal, with its white streets full of flowers. We’ll arrive in Lisbon in the evening.
