It is a town literally carved into the volcanic rock and it is also a great area to sample Turkish cuisine and wine. Göreme is considered the highlight of the Cappadocia. And it’s no wonder, cave towns and hundreds of churches that are rarely seen, gorges to explore and some of the most vivid, pastoral scenes to be captured in all of Turkey.
