We’ll depart toward the west of Poland, arriving in Lodz, the third largest city in the country. Once a major industrial center, it declined after the war and the socialist period. We’ll visit the museum dedicated to the Jewish ghetto (tickets included), the second largest during World War II, along with its small train station (tickets included). Afterward, you’ll have time for lunch and a stroll in Manufaktura, a vast shopping and recreational complex repurposed from a former textile factory. We’ll then continue to Toruń, a Gothic walled city with a magnificent historic center, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and the birthplace of Copernicus. If you wish, you can visit his museum/home. Afterward, we’ll travel to Gdansk, formerly Danzig, arriving in the late afternoon. Its historic center is charming and full of life, and we highly recommend an evening stroll to soak in its vibrant atmosphere.
