Day 1: Arrival San Jose
Your Costa Rican adventure begins on arrival to Juan Santamaría International Airport in San José. our representative will meet and greet you and then direct you to your transport, which will drop you off at your hotel in San Jose for your first night in Costa Rica.

Day 2: San Jose – Savegre Aerea (90 Km – 2.5 Hrs)
This morning after breakfast, pick up at approximately 8 am to departure to the Savegre area. During the trip you will enjoy a panoramic 2-hours guided tour to learn about the capital of Costa Rica. Visit the Central Maket (closed on Sundays), the façade of the National Theater, Central Park, Democracy Plaza, Morazán Park, National Park and some monuments and historic buildings. Transfer to your selected hotel in Savegre Area at approximately 11 am.

Day 3: Savegre Aerea – Turrialba (115 Km – 3 Hrs)
Breakfast at the hotel and at approximately 8.30 am, you will leave for Turrialba, quiet city with its lovely streets and beautiful landscapes that surround it is one of the few places in Costa Rica, with direct access to the crater of a volcano. From the top of the volcano, on a clear day, you can see the Irazú, Poás and Barva volcanoes in the distance. En route (at approximately 11 am), we will take the guided 2-hour tour in the Irazú Volcano National Park. Upon climbing the main crater you can see magnificent views of the city of Cartago and the Talamanca Mountain Range. After the visit, we will go to the town of Cartago, to enjoy a lunch (not included). Once lunch is over we will depart to Turrialba, where we will arrive in the afternoon, around 4.30 pm. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4: Turrialba
After breakfast at the hotel you will be picked up at 8 am to go to the most important and large archaeological area of Costa Rica. In the Guayabo National Archaeological Monument. Veiled in the shadow of the Turrialba Volcano, like a mythical lost city from a storybook, lies a mysterious ancient city that was home to over 10,000 people who seemed to have mysteriously vanished just before the arrival of the Spanish in the 16th century. This area, known as Guayabo National Monument, is Costa Rica’s most important archaeological site and its only named national monument. A guide will walk you through the park while explaining the findings of the excavations and the history of the people that once lived there. you will find protected archaeological structures such as mounds, bridges, large round stones and many other attractions. After this 3.5-hour visit, you can visit stop at Turrialba city, and walk around the city and take the opportunity to have lunch (not included) in one of the local “sodas” (small local restaurants). Come back to the hotel in afternoon and rest of day at leisure.

Day 5: Turrialba – Puerto Viejo (180 Km – 4 Hrs)
Begin the day with breakfast at the hotel, followed by check-out and then meet your guide at 8.00 am, approximately, to transfer to the Puerto Viejo area in the Caribbean of Costa Rica. In Puerto Viejo, you would relax in the beaches with crystal clear water and bypassed for coral reefs. Arrive and check in at hotel at noon and rest of day at leisure.

Day 6: Puerto Viejo – Cahuita National Park – Puerto Viejo (35 Km – 40 Min)
This morning after breakfast, pick up at approximately 8.30 time to continue to Cahuita National Park where the guide will take you to different points of interest between Cahuita Point and the small town of Cahuita on a 3.5-kilometre stretch, with the possibility of observing various types of snakes, sloths, white-faced and howler monkeys, anteaters, armadillos, and much more. After 6 hours of visit, you can rest at the beach and its calm and warm waters or return to the hotel to rest by the pool.

Day 7: Puerto Viejo – Arenal (275 Km – 6 Hrs)
After breakfast, at approximately 9.30 am, we depart to the Arenal area where is one of the most active volcanoes of Costa Rica bypasses for Lake Arenal. Arrive at approximately 2.30 pm and check – in your selected hotel and enjoy the day at leisure to explore on your own

Day 8: Arenal
Today after breakfast, take meet your guide at approximately 8.00, to start a 4-hour guided walking tour in Arenal Volcano National Park. During the tour, the guide will explain the periods of activity the once very active volcano experienced. Enjoy the verdant landscapes and the backdrop of the now-dormant volcano, as you keep a lookout for the wild animals living in this national park. You have the chance to spot sloths, howler monkeys, anteaters, and many others. Afterwards, return to the hotel at 12.30 time, with the afternoon at leisure.

Day 9: Arenal – San José (140 Km – 3 Hrs)
Begin your last day in spectacular Costa Rica with a delectable breakfast. Then, at the appropriate time, transfer to Juan Santamaria International Airport to catch your flight back home or on to your next destination.
