Lomé ist die Hauptstadt und größte Stadt Togos. Gelegen am Golf von Guinea, ist Lomé das Verwaltungs- und Industriezentrum des Landes und sein wichtigster Hafen. Die Stadt exportiert Kaffee, Kakao, Kopra und Palmkerne. Sie verfügt auch über eine Ölraffinerie. Im ersten Stock befindet sich die Nana Benz, die für ihre Kleidung bekannt ist; als auch der kleinere und spezialisiertere Fetischmarkt (Voodoo). Dort gibt es Fetische, Gongons und Gris-Gris. Der Palais du Congrès-Komplex beherbergt das Nationalmuseum von Togo, das Sammlungen sowie Schmuck, Musikinstrumente, Puppen, Keramik, Waffen und viele andere Objekte zeigt, die die Künste und Traditionen darstellen.
