Initially the complimentary airport transfer was a big factor for us choosing to book this property and we were so glad we did! The staff were all so great and the daily breakfasts delivered to our unit were all very delicious. The unit itself was very clean and well maintained and the view of the caldera from the terrace was really nice. The location is in a more quiet side of the island but convenient to the Fira via 30 min scenic walk or local bus. We took the trail and enjoyed a nice hike to Oia and took the bus back. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Imerovigli est un village perché sur une falaise surplombant l'île de Santorin et ses caldeiras volcaniques. Imerovigli est né comme une forteresse, comme son nom l'indique, Imera (jour) et viglia (tour de guet) une tour de guet qui jouissait d'une position stratégique à partir de laquelle elle pouvait contrôler l'arrivée de pirates indésirables en étant en sécurité à une hauteur de 300 mètres. Selon les archives, l'occupation de la zone remonte à la fin du 16ème siècle, bien que selon le témoignage du cartographe Boundelmonti, la forteresse existait déjà sur ce site en 1421.
