About the destination: Jakarta, located on the northwest of the island of Java, is the capital of Indonesia and largest city in Southeast Asia. Jakarta is a huge city and one of the busiest and energetic metropolis in the world and it has lots to offer, from historic and cultural sites, high-end shopping malls to traditional markets, one of the best restaurant scene of the region and a vibrant nightlife. Kota Tua Jakarta is also known as the Old Jakarta or Old Batavia. Kota Tua is where the Dutch immigrants settled and established their seat of government. Buildings showcasing Dutch architecture still stand around the Fatahillah square, most of which function as museums. Kota Tua Jakarta is located north of the city center of Jakarta. Walking is the best way to go around the historical sites. Cafe Batavia, which dates back to 1805, is a famous restaurant with Baroque decor overlooking Fatahillah Square. Off-shore north from Jakarta's beach there are small islands called Kepulauan Seribu, the Thousand islands. About the destination: Lombok, also called the little sister of Balis, offers the traveler unique picture-book beaches, a majestic volcano in the interior of the island and extremely hospitable and tradition-conscious inhabitants. The scenic island is about 50 km or 20 minutes by plane east of Bali (so ideal for island combinations), alternatively the journey can also be directly from Singapore. The number of hotels is manageable, from mass tourism is still far away. About the destination: Labuan Bajo is a fishing town located at the western end of Flores in the Nusa Tenggara region of east Indonesia. Once a small fishing village, Labuan Bajo (also spelled Labuhanbajo and Labuanbajo) in Flores is now a busy bustling center of tourism. It is the launching point for trips to Komodo Island and Rinca Island, home to the famous Komodo dragons. Nearby Kanawa and Seraya Islands are a great opportunity to do some diving and snorkeling and every evening at Kalong Island thousands of flying fox bats put on an amazing display. Within a few hours of Labuan Bajo can be found several waterfalls, trekking and many diverse beaches. The town is quite small and can easily be traversed on foot (in 10–15 minutes). There are various interesting churches and a mosque. Ojeks (3,000-5,000 Rp) and bemos pass every 5 minutes if you get tired of walking. You can rent a motorcycle for 75,000 Rp. per day. There are now 4 working ATM's in the town and the road is paved. Komodo Airport is located just 2 km from the center of Labuan Bajo and has 4-6 daily flights arriving from Bali. The port has daily ferry departures to Bima and weekly or bi-weekly departures to Denpasar and Sulawesi.
