About the destination: Addis Ababa is the capital city of Ethiopia and a hub for international diplomacy concerning Africa. Ethiopia is an ancient land with rich history and cultural heritage and its capital city is no exception, Addis is full of culture and impressive monuments of colonial architecture. The huge area around Mercato is a picturesque part of the city. It is a colorful open market that offers everything from food to paintings of biblical scenes. The calls from the minarets happen five times a day to call the faithful Muslims to prayer. The mosques and churches are close to each other offering a fascinating merging of worlds worth experiencing. Other important sights of the city are the Emperor’s Palace, the Menelik II Mausoleum located in a cellar under a small church on a hill overlooking the city, the Africa Hall, a convention hall with beautiful stained, the Lion Park, the Ethiopian Museum, the Grand Mosque, the Lion of Judah statue and the octagonal Church of St. George. Addis Abeba is exciting and full of contrast, a mix of the past and the present, and it offers the chance to experience big-city Africa in an entirely inviting atmosphere.

About the destination: Brazzaville is by far the more laid-back and safer town, though it can also feel like a bit of a backwater by comparison. However, with some attractive modernist architecture, a gorgeous riverside embankment perfect for taking in views of the Congo River and plenty of high-quality eating options, Brazzaville has a lot of charm and character, which makes it a surprisingly pleasant place to while away time between visiting Congo's national parks.

About the destination: Libreville is the capital and largest city of Gabon, in west central Africa. The city is a port on the Komo River, near the Gulf of Guinea, and a trade center for a timber region. Libreville's greatest asset is, probably, the seafront (bord de mer) where people gather daily to relax by the Atlantic Ocean. All along the seafront you will find some Gabonese sculptures looking over the beach. You could also go in Nzeng-ayong to see the Arboretum de Sybang which is a huge tree sanctuary inside Libreville which groups thousands of local species. The centre is also a nice area to visit, in which you are able to enjoy the nearby ocean breeze.

About the destination: Yaoundé is the capital and the second largest city of Cameroon. Yaoundé has some scenic and breath taking sights. So if you love hiking, walking around town from one hill to the next can be very refreshing and enjoyable. The Palais des Sports de Yaoundé Cameroun is the recent center of attraction. It is an indoor sporting complex constructed by Chinese contractors with funding from the Cameroon government.
