About the destination: Conakry is the capital and largest city of Guinea. Conakry is a port city on the Atlantic Ocean and serves as the economic, financial and cultural center of Guinea. It is located on the island of Tumbo and connected to the Kaloum Peninsula by a long pier. The city is noted for its botanical garden, the Guinea National Museum, its several markets, the Guinea Palais du Peuple, Conakry Grand Mosque, the city's nightlife and the nearby Iles de Los. You can get a glimpse of Guinee culture by visiting the French-Guinean Cultural Center. Guinea has a strong music tradition and Conakry, in particular, is a dynamic center for music.
