Room on 13the floor smell so bad we had to open the windows but mosquitos came at night. Couldn't sleep. Even the hallway smelled musky moldy. They sprayed air freshener in the rooms n hallways, even the lobby. Moved to better room on 11th after difficult discussion with daytime manager.

Kaohsiung, Taiwan

La ville de Kaohsiung est une municipalité spéciale de Taiwan. Située dans le sud-ouest de Taïwan et faisant face au détroit de Taiwan, elle est la plus grande municipalité, avec ses 2 951,85 km2 (1 139,72 km²), qui s'étend du mont. Jade à Taiping Island, et deuxième plus peuplée (par ville proprement dite) avec une population d’environ 2,77 millions. Depuis ses débuts au 17ème siècle, Kaohsiung est passée d’un petit village commerçant au centre politique, économique, de transport, de fabrication, de raffinage, de construction navale et industrielle du sud de Taiwan. Il s'agit d'une ville mondiale avec suffisance, telle que catégorisée par la mondialisation et le réseau de recherche sur les villes du monde en 2012. L'aéroport international de Kaohsiung est le deuxième plus grand aéroport de Taiwan. Le port de Kaohsiung est le plus grand port de Taiwan, mais ne fait pas officiellement partie de la ville de Kaohsiung. Le terminal sud de l’autoroute 1 se trouve à Kaohsiung. Pour se déplacer en train nord-sud, la ville est desservie par les stations d’administration des chemins de fer taïwanais, les lignes Western TRA et Pingtung. Le train à grande vitesse de Taiwan fournit également une liaison ferroviaire rapide et fréquente vers Taipei. Le réseau de métro de la ville, Kaohsiung Mass Rapid Transit, a été lancé au début de 2008. Kaohsiung était la ville hôte des Jeux mondiaux de 2009, une manifestation multisport composée principalement de sports non décrits aux Jeux olympiques. La ville abrite également le siège et l'académie de la flotte de la marine de la République de Chine.
