This is a budget hotel, conveniently located at walking distance from center, boat stations and airport, at same time in a quiet and safe area. There is a good pizzeria/restaurant associated with the hotel. Staff is kind and helpful. Nevertheless hotel require a strong renovation and especially a deep cleaning/disinfestation in rooms, bathrooms and common areas.

The Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute operates a research station on Colon Island just northwest of Bocas Town. There are many banana plantations in Bocas del Toro, often called the oro verde, or green gold of Central America. You must visit Bocas del Drago a beach at the north of Colon Island.
