Day 2: Budapest

Day 3: Budapest - Bratislava - Trencin - Krakow

Day 4: Krakow - Wadowice - Auschwitz - Warsaw

Day 5: Warsaw

We’ll start the day with a panoramic tour of Warsaw with a local guide. Home to nearly two million people, this political and economic hub of Poland boasts a blend of modern architecture and meticulously restored historic buildings. We’ll stroll through the charming old town, featuring many old buildings, the Royal Palace, and cobbled streets, all restored after their destruction in World War II and now declared a World Heritage Site. We’ll visit the Palace of Culture, a skyscraper gifted by the Soviet Union, reflect on the history of what was once the largest Jewish ghetto in Europe, and wander through Lazienki Park, home to the Chopin Monument. You’ll have free time in the afternoon to visit museums, such as the National Museum and the Warsaw Rising Museum, or to explore the lively city center filled with shops and activities.

Day 6: Warsaw - Olsztyn - Elblag canal - Malbork - Gdansk

After breakfast, we’ll depart for northern Poland. Our first stop will be Olsztynek, where we’ll visit the open-air Museum of Folk Architecture (admission included). Here, you can admire wooden houses, old mills, and a traditional church, making it feel like you’ve stepped back in time! We’ll then continue to the Elblag Canal, the longest navigable canal in Poland, where we’ll visit a museum located in an area where boats are hauled over land on rails to navigate elevation changes. Next, we’ll head to Malbork to visit its impressive castle (admission included, green route), one of the largest medieval castles in Europe, built in the 13th century by the Teutonic Order and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll arrive in Gdansk—formerly known as Danzig—in the evening. The historic center is stunning and lively, and we highly recommend an evening stroll to experience its vibrant atmosphere.

Day 7: Gdansk - Sopot - Sopot nynashamn ferry

After breakfast, we’ll join our guide for a visit to the European Solidarity Centre, a striking contemporary building that commemorates the history of the Solidarity movement, which played a pivotal role in the fall of the Soviet Union. Highlights include the monument dedicated to the fallen workers. Next, we’ll include admission to the Museum of the Second World War. This impressive museum, opened in 2017, serves as a powerful reminder of the 3 to 6 million people who lost their lives in Poland during that tragic conflict. Afterward, we’ll have some time to explore the historic center before heading to Sopot, a charming seaside resort on the Baltic Sea. Known for its vibrant atmosphere, Sopot features a long sandy beach and one of Europe’s longest wooden piers, offering stunning views of the sea. In the evening, we’ll board a modern ferry (cruise-style) for our journey to Sweden. The scheduled departure is at 07:30 p.m., with overnight accommodations in cabins. Breakfast will be included.

Day 8: Sopot nynashamn ferry - Stockholm

After a pleasant journey, our ferry will arrive in Karlskrona in southern Sweden around 06:30 a.m. We’ll continue to Stockholm, with a stop in Västervik, a charming seaside town with a picturesque historic center. In the afternoon, we’ll arrive in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, a beautiful city spread across fourteen islands in the Baltic Sea archipelago, connected by numerous bridges and ferries. Stockholm is renowned for its rich history, stunning architecture, and its blend of modernity and tradition. The afternoon is yours to enjoy. We recommend taking a stroll through the historic center and visiting its museums and parks.

Day 9: Stockholm

Today we’ll embark on a panoramic tour of this beautiful capital city, built on 14 interconnected islands. We’ll visit Gamla Stan, also known as the “the city between bridges”, the lively old quarter filled with monumental buildings such as the Nobel Prize Museum, located right beside the main square of Stortorget which honors Nobel Prize winners, the Cathedral, and the Royal Palace. Whenever possible, we’ll enjoy the stunning views from the Fjällgatan viewpoint. Afterwards, you’ll have leisure time to explore. We recommend visiting the museums and parks. Optionally, you can visit the City Hall and the Vasa Museum.

Day 10: Stockholm - Stockholm-turku ferry

Enjoy a free day in Stockholm. In the evening, we’ll board a modern ferry for an overnight journey to Finland. Accommodation will be in double en-suite cabins.

Day 11: Stockholm-turku ferry - Naantali - Helsinki

As we arrive in Finland, we recommend heading to the ship’s deck for sunrise to enjoy the mesmerizing landscapes as we sail past the Åland Islands, a collection of hundreds of forested islands. After disembarking the ferry, you’ll have time to explore Turku, a city with a strong Swedish influence. We’ll then continue our journey to the neighboring city of Naantali, a picturesque town with charming wooden houses by the sea. Our travels will take us to Helsinki, where we’ll arrive around lunchtime. In the afternoon, you’ll have leisure time to explore the city, including its old market, Russian-influenced buildings, and beautiful churches.

Day 12: Helsinki - Helsinki tallinn ferry - Tallinn

We’ll embark on an included boat trip to the Suomenlinna Islands, six islands home to a magnificent fortress that once protected the city’s entrance and is now a World Heritage Site. Take some time to explore, crossing the islands via pedestrian bridges. In the afternoon, we’ll board a ferry to Estonia, a journey of about 2 hours and 30 minutes. As we depart from Helsinki, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the surrounding islands. In the evening, we’ll arrive in Tallinn.
