Incredible stay! It was an absolute dream. I stayed two nights in the overwater bungalows and it was spacious, confortable and an amazing experience. I got to rent a snorkeling kit for free and go see the corrals, fish and sea turtles that were nearby. The staff was lovely and the environment felt safe. I only had the breakfast buffet as far as meals go but there was a lot of choices and everything I had was good, especially the fresh pastries. From the check in, the boat ride to the îlot, the stay and back, I am beyond happy with my stay.

We stayed in an overwater bungalow - wow what an experience! Beautiful accomodation that's nicely furnished and spacious. The water views and sunsets were stunning and the fact you could step into the water from your own balcony was something we cherished. The staff were lovely and friendly. My only critique is the lack of food options, it'd be great if you could order room service or a la carte rather than having to spend on an expensive buffet every night because it's the only option on the island. Everything else was fantastic.

Noumea, Nueva Caledonia

Numea (Nouméa en francés, anteriormente conocida como Port-de-France) es la capital del territorio francés de ultramar Nueva Caledonia y de Provincia Sur. Según el censo de 2004, está poblada por 91.386 habitantes (166.041 si contamos su aglomeración urbana estimada en 2009,2 conocida como Gran Numea), lo que la convierte en la más poblada del archipiélago y la mayor ciudad francófona de todo el océano Pacífico. La ciudad, culturalmente europea, posee un gran mestizaje. La mayoría de la población son blancos, principalmente neocaledonios, con una minoría importante de funcionarios y militares franceses que viven en ella temporalmente. Otras minorías importantes son los canacos, los asiáticos y los polinesios. La palabra Numea es un nombre de origen canaco que reemplaza el antiguo nombre de la ciudad, Port-de-France, debido a su similitud con la ciudad martiniqueña de Fort-de-France.
