Day 1: Arrive In Sri Lanka And Transfer To Sigiriya
Arrival to Sri Lanka, Colombo (Katunayaka) International Airport. You will be greeted by H.O.T. (House of Travels and Tourism) representative, and your driver at the airport. After the Meet and Greet, you will be transferred to your hotel with the allocated private vehicle.

Day 2: Sigiriya
After breakfast at the Hotel, get ready to leave to visit the Ritigala Mountain. Your Chauffer guide will accompany you throughout the excursion.
Ritigala is a mountain in central Sri Lanka that is home to an ancient Buddhist monastery. The ruins and rock inscriptions of the monastery date back to 1st century BCE. It is located 43 km (27 mi) away from the ancient monastic city of Anuradhapura.Its elevation is higher than the other main tourist attractions of the north central plains, namely Sigiriya, Dambulla, and Mihintale. The significance of this topographical feature lies in the abrupt sheerness of the massif, its wooded slopes, and the wet microclimate at the summit.Ritigala is an extraordinary and fascinating cultural and eco-tourist site which is home to seventy rock caves that were believed to have been inhabited from the 1st century BC. A mountain range of four peaks that houses an old Buddhist monastery.
It takes one and a half hours at most to traverse through the given path: but keep an eye out for little side paths that would lead you to the hospices, fancy rock, and lots more wildlife.
If you would like to do the Jeep Safari in Minneriya you can inform your chauffer guide and pay for the supplement, he will arrange the Jeep safari upon informing the same to the office. The safari duration will be approx. 03.00 Hours. By 02.30 PM be ready at the National Park entrance.
Or else, you can directly go back to the Hotel and relax after lunch.

These national parks in Habarana are the best places in the country to see wild elephants, which are often present in huge numbers of elephants.
(Good to know: Elephants are moving to one of those national parks. Therefore, we will select the best park to see more elephants, evening time would be the idle to see many elephants)

Day 3: Sigiriya
Breakfast at the Hotel, after the breakfast, if you would like to you can visit Medirigiriya Watageya and the Polonnaruwa Ancient City.

The Medirigiriya watadageya is an ancient structure dating back to the Kingdom of Polonnaruwa of Sri Lanka. It is believed to have been built during the reign of Parakramabahu I to hold the Relic of the tooth of the Buddha or during the reign of Nissanka Malla of Polonnaruwa to hold the alms bowl used by the Buddha. Polonnaruwa is one of Sri Lanka's best attractions and provides an inspirational snapshot into Medieval Sri Lanka. The ruins of this archaeological park are easily accessible and cover an area of about four kilometres from north to south.
You can visit The Sacred Quadrangle, the Royal Palace of King Parakramabahu, Rankot Vihara, and Gal Vihara in this area.
The Ancient City of Polonnaruwa has been declared a World Heritage Site.
Sigiriya - (Lion's Rock), is a large stone and ancient rock fortress and palace ruin in the central Dambulla of Sri Lanka, surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs, and other structures. A popular tourist destination, Sigiriya is also renowned for its ancient paintings (frescos) which are reminiscent of the Ajanta Caves of India. It is one of the seven World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka. It is also declared by UNESCO as the 8th Wonder of the World.

Day 4: Kandy (150 Km/4 To 5 Hours)
After Breakfast check out from the Hotel and transfer to Kandy

Nalanda Gedige is an ancient complete stone temple near Matale, Sri Lanka and its original site is considered the geographical center of Sri Lanka. The building was constructed between the 8th and 10th centuries. Nalanda Gedige is designed on the lines of a Hindu temple with a mandapa, an entrance hall (originally roofed), a short passage to a bare cello, and an ambulatory round the holy centre. This Buddha temple, a very interesting ancient mystery, has its structure modeled on the architecture styles of Hindu temples yet with intriguing Tantric Buddhist carvings. Plenty of Hindu and Buddhist designs can be spotted on the walls of the temple. Nalanda is situated one km to the east of the A9 route 20 km north of Aluvihare near Kandy. It would be moments of relaxation halfway through your journey between Kandy and Dambulla.
It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 5: Kandy

Ambuluwawa Tower
Ambuluwawa Temple is truly a unique destination, offering breathtaking views from its distinctive tower. However, visitors should be cautious. The climb to the top can be quite dangerous due to low railings, narrow staircases, and overcrowding. Abuluwawa mountain peak sits at 3,567 meters above sea level, with the tower itself measuring 54 meters from bottom to top of the spiral.

Enjoy the drive through misty mountains covered with tea bushes. Stop at a tea plantation where tea plucking is taking place. Have a chat with the tea pluckers, take your photos, etc. Later, visit a tea factory, where pure Ceylon Tea is manufactured.

Breakfast at the Hotel and then visit to the Udawattekele Sanctuary, your chauffer guide will accompany through the walk.

Udawattakele forest is situated in the mid-country within the intermediate climatic zone, the species composition has been complemented by both wet and dry zone species. Studies revealed that there are about 400 species of plants inclusive of ferns, herbs, and orchids.
