I enjoyed my stay here. It is walkable to Heydar Aliyev Centre and there are many public transportation options. The breakfast was good and they also offer a buffet lunch for a small price. There are a few doner places nearby and a mini mart for small snacks. The only downside was that the walls are rather thin so you can hear the loud conversations from the the next room over and doors slamming throughout the night. The staff and service was good, I would stay here again.

GRAHAM

Fantastic hotel with a large clean room, comfy bed, kettle and excellent shower. The breakfast was tasty and had plenty of options. There were a couple of things which were distracting. My room, 205, overlooked the reception/lobby which was very loud, even throughout the night. There was net but no curtain on one of the windows and a glass fronted fridge, so the light from both made it difficult to get to sleep . It was still a great hotel, and if you like to walk it's about 90 mins to the promenade.

There are a number of interesting sites within Baku's walled fortress. The medieval palace of the Shirvan Shahs is the highlight of the Old City and a must see for any tourist in Baku. A striking contrast to the old town, are the ultra-modern buildings of the downtown area, such as the Heydar Aliyev Centre, the Flame Towers and the Crystal Hall. There are a lot of beautiful buildings in the city center and there is a huge promenade on the seafront. You will find a lot of shopping opportunities and also great food in the azeri restaurants.
